Chapter 110
The gloomy Head of Slytherin maintained a peculiar mood scale, ranging from “Disgusting” to “Time to Die.” Usually, the Potions Master teetered between “This is unbearable” and “When will you all die?!”, but today he was approaching the nadir. The prince descended into the familiar dungeons of Hogwarts, his every instinct aching to get drunk and forget. The source of this state was the sheet of expensive parchment Severus clutched in his hand. A couple of hours ago, a fat owl had brought him an invitation to a family celebration; his younger sister, Evileye, had a birthday in a week. The master of mental magic glanced at the expensive parchment again and, pursing his lips in disgust, reread the text in French, barely restraining himself from burning it. It was all about memories…
The Prince’s relationship with his relatives was strained, to say the least, and had been strained since childhood, if that’s how you could describe his early years. From an early age, the boy was constantly told he was a flawed wizard, the product of a chance encounter between a pureblood witch and a pathetic Squib. When the young Prince was five, his mother, encouraged by his dear grandfather, married. Eileen Prince’s chosen one was the French potion master Goston Whiner, and the frog took a dislike to the little half-blood from the first sight. After moving to France, his stepfather declared he wouldn’t live under the same roof with the brat, and his mother tacitly agreed with his arguments. So Severus was given a room in a separate servants’ cottage, and from then on, his existence was ignored.
During the first year, Eileen occasionally dropped in on her son, and they even talked, but after the birth of his younger sister, even these rare visits ceased. As a child, Severus often spied on his mother, watching from the sidelines as she walked and nursed Ivileye, then ran to his room with tears in his eyes. The little boy couldn’t understand the reason for this attitude and, burying his face in his pillow, sobbed with resentment. He couldn’t understand why his mother loved his sister but despised him. Why she twirled Ivileye in her arms with a smile, only to turn away in disgust at the sight of him. It was then that the little Prince decided to prove to his family that he was worthy of his family name and immersed himself in the beautiful science of potion-making.
Surprisingly, Papa didn’t hinder his unloved stepson’s zeal. On the contrary, the Frenchman gave the child access to the library and even set up a children’s potion room. Over time, his relationship with his stepfather even improved somewhat; at least, he stopped looking at Severus with disdain. The boy worked hard and dreamed that one day his mother would notice his successes and praise him, but the woman continued to ignore him, devoting all her attention to her daughter. Seeing this kind of treatment, the little Prince felt discouraged, but then he would remember his “beloved” grandfather and, gritting his teeth, continue studying.
Severus had a special relationship with his grandfather—they sincerely hated each other. During brief visits, Leofric Prince would always humiliate and insult the unworthy half-blood, though the old man liked to pet the child with his cane, believing that a squib with rickets deserved no other treatment. In response, the boy looked at his older relative like a pile of dragon dung and dreamed of poisoning him. One day, his grandfather overindulged in Firewhiskey and disliked the look in his eight-year-old puppy’s eyes—that was the first time Severus experienced Crucio. The Prince remembered the pain he experienced forever and swore that one day he would surpass the senile old man and force him to recognize him as an equal. Or, at the very least, he wanted to concoct a poison capable of poisoning an experienced Potion Master.
When Severus turned eleven, his stepfather handed him a letter from Hogwarts and the key to his Gringotts vault, asking him never to return to France. Monsieur Whiner frankly admitted he no longer wished to see his unloved stepson in his estate and, wishing him luck, kicked him out. However, Goston deserves credit for not abandoning the child, and in Wizarding Britain, the boy was welcomed by an old acquaintance in the person of Abraxas Malfoy. The Head of Slytherin House still didn’t understand why the blond family had so happily taken in an orphan while his parents were still alive. From then on, the Half-Blood Prince saw his relatives only at rare social events and family celebrations. And each time, they regarded him with disdain and disgust; even his title as Potions Master couldn’t rectify the situation. His grandfather and mother were absolutely certain that his success in this branch of magic was due not to his own intellect and diligence, but to the blood of his ancestors, and now he owes them even more. As for his sister…
Evileye the Half-Blood Prince grew up stupid, arrogant, and insolent—the perfect heir to two pureblood families. From childhood, she viewed Severus as an inferior being and despised him. For this reason, he barely interacted with the spoiled brat. Furthermore, she was as dumb as a cork from the cheapest champagne cork and blamed everything on her older brother. In Evileye’s opinion, her older brother had brazenly stolen her family’s bloodline, and that was why she was so incompetent at potions, not because she preferred Witch Weekly to books. But that wasn’t why the Half-Blood Prince hated his younger sister…
Lily… His first and only friend… Lily… His first and only love… Lily… The girl who gave him hope and self-confidence… Lily… Who betrayed him… And all because of a cursed letter… Many years ago, when Severus was in his fifth year, Lily decided to reconcile her boyfriend with his relatives, and with the stubbornness typical of Gryffindors, she began writing letters to his family. And while Grandpa and MamaN ignored the impudent Mudblood, Evileye responded…
The petty pureblood princess poured so much dirt on Lily that the good-natured girl nearly choked… The youngest Prince seriously threatened to strangle or poison the entire Evans family if the red-haired Mudblood whore didn’t leave her half-blood brother alone. Evileye’s logic was quite simple: Severus belonged to the family, and only Mama and Papa could decide his fate. His sister wrote that their parents had already found a suitable match for their half-blood brother, and they would simply remove her as a nuisance, especially since the worthless Mudblood belonged best in a ditch or on a street corner. That evening, Severus tried to calm his beloved, but he couldn’t…
And the next day, Lily, along with Marlene and the other girls, went to Hogsmeade to unwind, and there… Severus clenched his fists until his knuckles turned white… How could she?! Severus wasn’t a fool; he’d tested his beloved for love potions, but the results were negative! So she’d willingly fallen for Potter and Black, those bastards! If not for that, Severus would have long ago forced his sister to swallow that vile letter he still kept! So, after just one threat, Lily got scared, so she left him and chose those… How the Prince hated Potter and Black—they took everything from him! But at the same time, Severus hated himself even more for his cowardice, because he never brought himself to seek revenge.
The only thing keeping the Head of Slytherin from swallowing the poison was the rumor that the Black brat had hexed her father soundly yesterday. Hellsing and Potter, how he hated those filthy bastards! And it was all because of Lily’s green eyes, which the Prince wanted to squeeze out of both unworthy bastards! Severus restrained himself every lesson, but they were so close… How he wanted to grab that small, insolent, arrogant brat by the head and drive his thumbs into his eye sockets… So that the Potter brat would never look at him with Evans’ eyes again! Only his and Lily’s children should have such eyes!
Severus couldn’t help but recall how he and Lily had once jokingly discussed their future, and he smiled, clutching the cursed piece of parchment tighter. Then the red-haired girl had declared in an ultimatum that one of their children, a boy, would be ugly and have black eyes like their father, while the others, most likely girls, would be beautiful and green-eyed like their mother. That evening, he kissed the beautiful girl for the first time, and then…
The grim Potions Master was so lost in his thoughts that he reacted too late to the tracking device going off behind him. The prince only had time to draw his wand and turn toward the threat, only to be met with a powerful volley of spells, followed by another. Severus wasn’t a combat wizard, so he only just realized his protective artifacts had discharged, and the next instant, his bound body slammed into a stone wall.
“Hello, Snivel, how are you?” Severus came to his senses and saw Black’s grinning face. “How are you? How is your family? How are you?”
– Go fuck yourself… – The Dean of Slytherin was unable to finish his sentence, as he was interrupted by a powerful kick to the solar plexus.
“Now, no need to be rude.” Sirius pointedly shook his finger. “Snives, what’s wrong? Why are you doing this? Have you forgotten how much fun we had back in school? It was fun, wasn’t it?”
“I hate you!” the hereditary Slytherin hissed, shaking with anger. “I…”
“What?” The blue-eyed wizard smiled contentedly and began to slowly unzip his fly. “He’s still as worthless as ever…”
The Head of Slytherin, the terror of all Hogwarts students, watched as the temporary Defense against the Dark Arts professor lazily pulled his penis out of his fly, and then the Potions Master’s face was enveloped in a warm, foul-smelling stream. Severus tried to turn away, but the horrible-tasting droplets still got into his mouth, and he vomited.
– So, how are you? Have you come to your senses? How did you like the hot shower? – His childhood enemy kicked him again, this time in the groin. – You still don’t have any balls, Nyunius.
“I hate you…” Severus whispered, his face covered in urine and his own vomit. “For what? Since first year, you’ve…”
– We? – Black’s eyes glowed with blue flame. – Crucio!
The Prince’s body arched, as if he’d been lowered into boiling oil, a poisoned needle jabbed into every nerve. The pain was so excruciating that he bit his lower lip until it bled, but soon he was forced to open his mouth, but not to scream. He vomited, and a shameful, foul warmth washed over his thighs, but Black didn’t stop. Severus managed to break the bonds that held him and gripped the cold stone floor with such force that his nails began to split and tear from his fingers. Despite the excruciating pain, the black-haired wizard didn’t utter a sound, and when the pain subsided, he only gasped for air.
“You’re doing well, you’re making progress.” The tormentor tied him up again. “Let me remind you, you filthy half-breed. And I’m not talking about how you squealed in your fourth year or how you begged for mercy in your sixth. Do you remember our first meeting?”
“You insulted Lily…” Severus muttered through his teeth.
“And Merlin and that Mudblood, Prongs and I forgot about you within half an hour.” Black smirked and stepped on the Potions Master’s throat. “Remind me, who returned to our compartment half an hour before arriving in Hogsmeade?”
– You offended Lily… – Severus received another punch in the face.
“Shut up! You started it!” The black-haired wizard grinned evilly. “Now reap the fruits of your stupid revenge. You came to our compartment and decided to apologize. Then Elk and I thought you were a normal guy, and took those disgusting candies, which turned out to be laced with Muggle laxatives.”
“I can make some more.” The Head of Slytherin gave a semblance of a smile. “Then you liked them.”
“Because of you, pathetic half-breed, the whole school has been calling Moose and me bastards for almost a year! We shit ourselves right in the Great Hall!”
For the next ten minutes, Sirius feebly, even lazily, kicked his school enemy, each blow accompanied by a caustic comment. The prince endured this torture in silence, not wanting to give his old enemy the satisfaction.
“Evanesco! That’s better.” Fleabitten knelt down in front of the potion maker and sniffed dramatically. “Snives, you stink. You smell like a whore, giving birth to such a worthless thing…”
– Buy a Portkey to France and take a walk to the Whiner estate… It’s only half an hour’s walk from Marseille… – the Potions Master croaked. – Tell her this to her face, or are you afraid? Dog… Gha!
“Crucio!” This time Black held the spell for only a couple of seconds, then patted his school enemy on the cheek. “Will you see me out? Rumor has it your mother’s quite the flighty woman, and your little sister isn’t far behind. A couple of years ago, I was in France and woke up one morning with a girl, I think her name was Evileye…”
“You’re welcome…” Severus managed a smile. “Maybe you’ll even get my grandfather into bed? Rumor has it you don’t care who you go with or where… Leaky Siri… Gha…”
“Crucio!” The temporary Defense Against the Dark Arts professor held the torture curse for a long time and only released it when the whites of his enemy’s eyes turned red from burst capillaries and the Prince himself began to choke on his own vomit.
“You’re repeating yourself…” The Potions Professor spat out a thick stream of saliva. “You dog, you’ve always had a poor imagination.”
“You know, Snivellus, you’re acting a little too brazen…” Sirius dropped to one knee again and waved his wand in disgust, causing the Potions Master’s waste products to vanish. “The old man isn’t in the castle, Lucy’s currently sleeping drunk and hugging Narcy, and your Mudblood is long dead…”
– What? – The Prince croaked, interrupting his sworn enemy.
– Seriously?! Ha-ha-ha! You still don’t get it? – Black laughed and pressed his knee into his face. – If it weren’t for that red-haired slut, Elk and I would have strangled you back in sixth year!
– What are you talking about!? – The potion maker’s magic rebelled, but Sirius applied Crucio to him again.
– My little, stupid Nyunius, how stupid and pathetic you are… Evanesco!… Ugh… How stinking you are. – His sworn enemy sat on his back and patted him on the back of the head, after which he continued sarcastically. – You know, I was the first to unseal that red-haired slut’s anus… Mmm… How she squealed in pain… I like it rougher and deeper… When I fucked that red-haired slut, she whispered your name with tears in her eyes. Can you imagine how that infuriated me?!
The black-haired wizard jumped up and began to kick his victim furiously.
– Every time… – Severus received a powerful kick in the face. – I’m just getting used to… – Another kick. – And she immediately burst into tears… – Another kick. – Seva, forgive me… – A powerful kick to the kidneys. – Seva, it’s not my fault… – Black tried to impersonate a female voice. – And how can I fuck such a whore?! And it’s all because of you!
“What did you do to her?” Severus spat out blood and looked at his tormentor with hatred. “I…”
“Shut up, Snivellus, you can’t do anything to me anyway…” Black broke into a satisfied smile. “You’re just talking nonsense, as always. Anyway, I’ll let you in on a big secret: Moose and I promised the red-haired mudblood that if she didn’t give in, we’d kill you, just like that Scandinavian. And you know what?” The blue-eyed wizard laughed out loud. “That same evening, she swallowed everything I gave her! And then she meekly offered her ass and even moaned with pleasure! And you know what’s funniest?”
“What?” the potion maker whispered, licking his dry lips.
“She loved you until death, and it was Prongs and I who fucked her! After our fun, that red-haired slut would always lock herself in the bathroom and whine like a bitch. One time, I couldn’t take it anymore and kicked the door down, after which I almost strangled her with my dick. Your Mudblood had a special mouth… Hmm… It’s a shame she died…” The school enemy took out a knife and began examining the blade with a cheerful smile, but Severus no longer cared. “Prongs told me that your Mudblood often cried at night… She was worried about you… Lily was so afraid that you, a flawed Death Eater, would be killed that she agreed to anything! Have you ever wondered why you survived that skirmish, huh?”
“Holey Siri, son of a whore and a sodomite, will you perhaps finish what you started?” Tears of heartache and despair appeared on Severus’s cheeks, and he sincerely wanted to die. “Or is a member of your vile and wretched race incapable of killing a pathetic half-breed?”
– Hm… For such words you deserve to die, Squib spawn… – Sirius lazily put the blade to his throat. – Anything to say, goodbye?
“I hope you die…” Severus whispered, pressing himself closer to the cold blade. “Damn you…”
– Dad? – A clear girl’s voice rang out in the quiet corridor.
– Professor Black, Professor Prince!? – A rough male bass voice echoed him.
The prince turned his head and saw Vega Black and Marcus Flint, who were looking at them with wild eyes, Sirius also noticed them and immediately jumped to his feet.
“Daughter, Marcus, what brings you here?” The black-haired wizard looked at his students with a kind smile.
“Father, we were returning to the living room.” The girl carefully examined the bloody dean. “And what are you doing here?”
“Yeah, never mind,” Sirius waved his hand dismissively. “You know that Snivellus, I mean Professor Prince, and I went to school together, right? So we decided to reminisce and have some fun. By the way, Snivellus was his nickname at school.”
“Professor Black, isn’t this too much?” Marcus nodded towards the Potions Master lying on the floor. “Should we call Acting Headmaster Malfoy?” With these words, the boy pulled the Wonderphone out of his pocket.
“No need…” Black slowly and demonstratively sheathed the dagger and looked kindly at his daughter. “Vega, I have to tell you something… You know how much I love you.”
– Yes, father. – The girl with a magic wand in her hands took a step forward.
“Marcus, you are a worthy wizard.” The temporary professor looked at the boy. “We wanted to surprise you and announce your engagement this summer, after your exam results, but…”
– DAD! – The girl couldn’t resist and threw herself on her father’s neck. – I love Marcus! And you! Thank you!
“Don’t, Vaggie, don’t, I love you too.” The Black father hugged his daughter tightly and looked sternly at the captain of the Slytherin Quidditch team. “Marcus, if you hurt my star, I will kill you, and your death will be long and painful. Understand?!”
“Yes,” the broad-shouldered guy swallowed.
“Alright, daughter.” Sirius pulled away from the black-haired girl. “Let Sniffer and I finish.”
– Dad? – Vega looked at her father with emphasis. – Maybe…
“Don’t worry about it,” the temporary professor interrupted the Slytherin and winked. “I repeat, Professor Prince and I are simply reminiscing about our fun school years.”
– But dad… – The girl puffed out her cheeks.
“Vaggie, my dear, I’m the professor on duty today, and I officially give you permission to set up a date with your fiancé.” The black-haired wizard lowered his voice to a conspiratorial whisper. “I’ll tell you a secret: the path to the astronomy tower is clear.”
– Professor Black? – Marcus embraced his bride and glanced sideways at his dean. – And what about Professor Prince?
“I promise your dean will be alive and well by morning, well, almost!” Sirius smiled dramatically and looked sternly at the students. “So, kids, if you don’t disappear from my sight in the next minute, I might change my mind! Vega, last week I received a tempting offer from Mr. Gulper.”
“I understand, Father, we weren’t here.” The girl took her companion’s hand, and they quickly walked toward the astronomy tower.
“You see, Nyunius, now you owe my daughter your life.” Sirius looked at the backs of his daughter and her fiancé with a warm smile. “You, a pathetic parody of a wizard, wouldn’t understand… I love my girls… That bitch, she’s ruined my mood.”
– Maybe you should let me go, leaky Siri? – the potion maker answered caustically.
“Thanks for reminding me!” Black kicked Severus in the face with all his might, causing stars to appear before the Potions Master’s eyes. “So that’s where we started. A leaky Siri, you say?”
“I don’t refuse.” The Head of Slytherin spat out blood. “Go on.”
“You’re such a fool.” His archenemy laughed. “Dumbledore’s on vacation, and Lucy’s asleep, so your blood on the floor was in vain…” Sirius straightened up. “Well, let’s get started. A couple of years ago, I met a perverted Muggle, and she was such a hot chick! Anyway, she called this thing a strap-on, I’m sure you’ll like it.”
Black’s blue eyes glowed faintly, and he drew his wand from its sheath. With a flourish, a steel oblong appeared in his hands. The temporary professor admired his creation for a moment and eyed his victim with a predatory gaze, then cast a spell to strip Severus of his clothes.
“I’m afraid you might actually like it.” Sirius shook his head and waved his wand again, the unusual object in his hands taking on the appearance of a cactus. “Well, let’s get started…”
***
A master of martial magic, a handsome man, a womanizer, a heartthrob, and simply a good guy, whose full name was Sirius Orion Black III, leisurely strolled into the central hall of Hogwarts. A mischievous smile played across Sirius’s contented face, and his eyes practically glowed with happiness. The reason for his wonderful mood floated slowly behind him like a balloon. Obeying a spell, Snivel’s unconscious and naked body followed his tormentor relentlessly.
– Herr Black? – The mercenary on duty noticed the night visitor. – I thought you were sleeping.
“Hello, Gunther,” Sirius nodded in response. “I’ll just finish up some business and then hit the hay.”
“Merlin the Almighty…” The battle mage noticed the temporary professor’s burden. “Herr Black, what have you done?!”
– What? – The blue-eyed wizard feigned surprise and turned around. – Oh, you mean Nyunius, don’t worry. This carrion is alive.
– Herr Black, aren’t you too much? – The mercenary carefully examined the naked head of Slytherin.
Professor Prince’s body was completely covered in knife cuts. These weren’t just simple cuts, but someone had painstakingly and meticulously carved obscene words and phallic symbols of varying sizes into the leather canvas. Furthermore, a huge, elongated metal object, covered in numerous long, sharp-looking spikes, was protruding from the Potions Master’s anus. Snivel himself was in a deep sedation, having lost consciousness from pain shock an hour earlier.
“Tell me, Gunther,” Sirius said, looking his interlocutor in the eye. “What would you do with a wizard who, at a social gathering, spread dirty rumors about you being a sodomite? And this wizard even claimed that you really enjoyed it when these same men loved you deeply and deeply?”
“I challenged him to a duel of honor and killed him,” the mercenary answered without hesitation.
“And if it’s not possible?” Black tilted his head to the side and smiled slyly. “What if this Potions Master has a powerful and influential patron?”
– Hm… – Gunther nodded understandingly. – But, Herr Black, I must report this incident to Lord Malfoy.
“Of course, you’ll definitely let me know.” Sirius pulled a bottle of expensive firewhiskey from his pocket. “But you could have only noticed this carrion this morning, right?”
“The stars in the sky today are so bright…” The mercenary looked out the window at the leaden clouds and accepted the gift. “But there are still three whole hours until the end of my shift…”
“I understand,” Black pulled two more bottles from his pocket. “You’ll notice him along with the first students who came to breakfast.”
– And he?
“No, he won’t die.” Sirius shook his head back. “I poured a couple of vials of blood-forming and strengthening into him.”
“Should children see something like this?” The mercenary glanced sideways at the bloody and naked body.
“The children need to see this!” The temporary professor broke into a manic grin. “Did I try for nothing?!”
“That’s your business,” Gunther shrugged. “Sort it out yourselves, but, Herr Black, if Lord Malfoy asks who did this…”
“No problem,” Sirius waved his hand. “I’ll deal with Lucius.”
“Agreed.” The mercenary put the bottles of expensive drink into his pocket with an invisible expansion and turned away dramatically.
“Thank you.” The black-haired wizard nodded and leisurely approached the open gates to the great hall. “Well, there’s just one last detail left.”
Black waved his wand, and the Prince’s unconscious body soared almost to the ceiling. Another wave, and he was upside down, his legs spread apart. Sirius admired the resulting installation for a couple of minutes, then shoved his hands in his pockets and, whistling a cheerful tune, headed to his quarters. That night, the temporary Defense of the Dark Arts professor fell asleep with a contented and blissful smile on his face.
“And yet, I still don’t understand why you didn’t kill Black?” The curly-haired girl looked up from her physics textbook. “That idiot attacked first!”
“I know, I really wanted to put a bullet in his forehead.” I also looked up from my book and looked into his milk chocolate-colored eyes. “But you can’t kill him outright, you understand.”
“You’re right about that,” Hermione nodded reluctantly. “By killing Sirius at Hogwarts, you would have openly declared war on the entire Black family, and then…”
“I’d have to put the whole purebred family under the knife.” I shook my head. “Including Dora, Vega, and Cassiopeia, and they…”
“They’re normal girls,” her best friend continued. “And Narcissa and Andromeda seem okay, too. I wouldn’t want to send them to the Creator’s palace before their time.”
“Admit it,” I said, nudging the girl with a cheerful smile. “You’re just upset that the flea-bitten one failed us on the exam. The only ‘Above Expectations’ on our report card was for the Defense against the Injuries.”
“Professor Fleas.” Mia elbowed me in the ribs and stuck out her tongue. “That bastard tormented us longer than anyone, and in the end he still didn’t give us an ‘Excellent’. May his fleas eat him, the stinking dog.”
– I don’t care about grades at Hogwarts. – I turned the page. – We have a more important exam in a week.
“Don’t remind me…” Her best friend sighed heavily. “If it weren’t for Occlumency, I simply wouldn’t be able to remember so much information.”
Mia and I exchanged glances and buried our noses in the textbooks provided by the Imperial Academy. It was late, so we were lying on my bed in our pajamas. Our final exam had been yesterday, and we still had a whole week of doing nothing ahead of us. I won’t stop repeating it, but some Hogwarts traditions piss me off! What the hell?! Why, while fifth- and seventh-years are taking their OWLs and TOADs, do the rest of us have to sit in the castle? Why can’t the red train make two trips to London? Or is coal worth its weight in gold for wizards? I don’t get it.
What pisses me off even more is that most of the students are enjoying this week more than the holidays. Seriously! Lavender and Parvati, along with Ron, are happily wandering around the castle and its surroundings all day long. Not to mention the countless picnics on the shores of the Black Lake and the opening of the swimming season. When I saw the purebloods’ swimsuits, my eyes nearly bled. Seriously, I wish they’d been swimming in robes. Maybe it’s envy talking, because while everyone else is twiddling their thumbs, I’m poring over the very hard and tasteless granite of science. But damn, I’d rather be lounging around at home with a textbook and listening to pleasant music in the background than sitting in the girls’ bedroom all day. The reason? Because the library and common room are so noisy! The repository of knowledge has been occupied by the graduates, and they regularly practically fight over rare books. I won’t even mention the common room; it’s full of energetic and cheerful representatives of the Red Banner House down there. And everyone knows that the words “Gryffindor” and “silence” are antonyms.
– What nonsense! – Lavender came out of the shower and turned around indignantly. – He couldn’t have done that!
– Then who is it? – Parvati followed her, wiping her head with a towel as she went. – It’s definitely him!
“But I think they’re mercenaries!” The blonde continued to defend her point of view. “Or do you really believe they didn’t notice him until the morning?!”
“They were just paid!” the Indian woman raised her voice. “They’re mercenaries, they’d sell their own mothers for money!”
– What’s all the noise? There’s no fight? – I put my textbook down and looked questioningly at my friends. – What are you arguing about?
“Well, Parv thinks Professor Black bullied Professor Prince, but I think,” Brown straightened her shoulders and looked at Patil with superiority, “that it was mercenaries! The Potions Professor probably had a falling out with them, or maybe found out about their dark or unseemly dealings. There!”
“Girls, calm down,” I smiled weakly and leaned back on the bed. “It was definitely Black.”
– How do you know? – The Indian woman looked at me with burning eyes.
“You know that Prince and Black were in school at the same time, right?” The Chatterboxes nodded in unison. “So, Sirius and his friends were always making fun of our Potions professor; their pranks were always in pretty much the same style.”
– What did I tell you? – Now Parvati looked at the blonde with superiority.
“But how?” Lavender lowered her head sadly and began to mumble. “Sirius Black seemed so noble and kind to me, but in reality…”
“He’s a spoiled, purebred brat who thinks he can get away with anything,” Mia chimed in. “Our temporary professor is a real piece of shit, believe me.”
“But why so cruel?” the blonde addressed everyone present. “Alicia told me, and she learned from Douglas that Professor Prince was skinned alive, and also…” the girl blushed and whispered. “They shoved a lamppost right up his ass…”
“And they cut out the penis on my forehead.” Mia smiled cheerfully and returned to studying her textbook.
– And an obscene word all over my back. – I couldn’t keep silent.
“You’re mean!” The blonde found no sympathy for the Potions professor in our eyes and plopped down on the bed, offended. “Only Cthulhu understands me!”
Brown snuggled closer to the huge pink teddy bear and, with a wave of her wand, drew the canopy of her bed. I watched her go, wondering if Lavender had a point. Sirius had been far too cruel to the Prince, and I had no doubt it was him. And it wasn’t even the injuries, which were easily treated, but the fact that Black had put Severus’s helpless and battered body on display for all to see. This prank had severely damaged the reputation of the Slytherin Head of House, but with exams approaching, the students didn’t dare insult or offend the professor. Of course, whispers and rumors circulated around the school, but no one said anything openly; everyone pretended it hadn’t happened.
I personally saw the Prince’s bloody body hanging from the ceiling. After all, our group descends for practice at six in the morning, when the rest of the school is still asleep. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy the sight. On the contrary, Black did a great job, and I was even glad I didn’t kill that stupid dog. As I looked at the mutilated Potions Master, I only regretted one thing: I didn’t have a camera handy! This scene needed to be captured on film! My friends also didn’t rush to attract the attention of the mercenary, who pointedly didn’t look up, and after admiring the bloody sight, we all headed outside. And that’s all you need to know about the Prince: the Hogwarts students hate him and will be glad to see him dead. By the way, this jerk was especially vicious during exams and drove several students to nervous breakdowns, and he completely failed Potter. Now the bespectacled guy is facing a retake at the ministry, which is paid, by the way.
“And what did she see in him…” Parvati drew attention to herself. “This Prince is a real freak, both mentally and physically.”
“I agree.” I nodded to the Indian woman. “Maybe Lavender likes the weak?”
“I’d tell you who she likes,” Patil smiled slyly. “But I’ll keep quiet.”
“Oh well.” I shrugged, then looked sadly at the physics textbook. “Okay, time to study.”
“You’re boring…” Parvati was offended by the fact that we weren’t interested in her friend’s romantic preferences. “Good night.”
The Indian woman collapsed onto her bed and turned off the light without asking, so what? Mia and I exchanged a silent glance and, without speaking, wandlessly conjured a couple of Lumos spheres above our heads. Some might think we were great sorceresses, but no, this spell is simply a very simple one, and it’s the first one we’ve learned. So it’s no surprise that over the years we’ve perfected it, performing it nonverbally and wandlessly.
We ended up studying until almost midnight, and when our eyes started to droop and our brains began to melt from the abundance of formulas, we decided that was enough for today. We might have read a little longer, but Flora intervened, the caring fairy grabbing Mia by the hair and pulling her toward the bed. Hermione, unable to resist, said goodnight and went to bed. Naturally, I followed her example, as I was already groggy and passed out the moment my head hit the pillow.
Alas, my stay in the sweet kingdom of Morpheus didn’t last long. I felt something cold sliding over my body, and then something hard gently poked my cheek.
“Oh, my great and radiant Mistress, open your beautiful eyes… ” I heard a hissing voice through my sleep. ” Listen to the voice of your mighty and beautiful servant…”
– What? – I looked sleepily at Vasya. – What happened?
– Great maiden, whose face is imprinted in the heavens, I, a despised servant, hasten to inform you… Ugh, fuck! – The snake shook his head. – F*ck! – The familiar bit me quite hard on the ear. – Mistress! It’s fucked up! The dick you’re looking for has come underground and is now doing some fucking wicked shit, I’ll fucking destroy it!
– What? – I woke up instantly.
– In the ass! – The snake got into a fighting stance. – Get your lazy ass up, or this cock will leave!
Why does all this crap happen at the end of the school year? Does the Scum really care that much about the students’ education? With that thought in mind, I jumped out of bed and, waking Hermione, began to quickly get dressed. Oh well, I’ll find out soon… I’ll ask in person.
